Repatriation Limit Status
Repatriation is transferring NRI funds from India to overseas accounts. Most funds are freely repatriable: foreign salary (unlimited), NRE deposits (unlimited), investment earnings (subject to limits). FCNR deposits are fully repatriable. RBI allows unlimited repatriation of income earned outside India. Bank charges typically 0.3-0.75% depending on amount and bank. No forex limit for income earned abroad; limits apply only to certain inherited/gifted assets.
